Thaler struck at the Berlin mint in 1784 under Friedrich II “the Great.”
Featuring the classic portrait of the monarch and the majestic Prussian eagle, it is among the most recognizable Prussian taler types of the 18th century. Such talers, minted at various Prussian mints, formed the backbone of the kingdom’s monetary system.
