Sought-after and rare thaler coin of King Stefan Batory.
Báthory's Nagyban thalers are an interesting coin issue, as they were probably minted in connection with a loan that Báthory took out in his native country. Instead of traditional currency, he was paid coins minted with his royal stamp – as King of Poland. Unfortunately, there are currently no documents that could confirm this hypothesis.
