Set of ten silver 10-DM coins from 1972 – 1999, commemorating figures such as Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Käthe Kollwitz, Emperor Frederick I Barbarossa, and Heinrich Heine, as well as events like the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics, the 30th anniversary of the Rome Treaties, the 150th anniversary of the German Archaeological Institute, and the 300th anniversary of the Francke Foundations. Designs were created by leading West German medallists, and the coins were struck at state mints identified by the letters D, F, G, J.
