Highly impressive set of Silesian groschen of Leopold I Habsburg (1657–1705), presented in two original collector’s display boards, comprising approximately 154 specimens.
These small-denomination coins, struck in Silesia in the second half of the 17th century, played an important role in the region’s monetary circulation. Due to the wide variety of dies, types, and iconographic details, they have long been of great interest to collectors.
The present assemblage is remarkable not only for its size but also for its clear and aesthetically pleasing arrangement in display boards, reminiscent of traditional numismatic cabinets. Such complete presentations are today a true rarity on the antiquarian market.
The coins are preserved in mixed condition. The collection offers an excellent opportunity for comparative study of the coinage of Leopold I in Silesia.
