The first and at the same time the oldest Polish share that for the very first time is being auctioned in Poland. There are known only few examples where the majority stays in museum collections including Museum of Textiles in Lodz and the National Museum in Warsaw. This paper is a milestone in the history of Polish capital market. Very well preserved, hand numbered ( no.33) and printed on watermaked paper with the Fleu-de-lis coat of arms. There are signatures of founders including the president himself Andrzej Zamoyski. True rarity of great historical importance, which undoubtedly will be a highlight of any collection.
Kompania Manufaktur Wełnianych is the first Polish joint-stock company that was founded in 1766 on the initiative of King Staislaus Augustus Poniatowski. The capital was divided into 120 shares. The parlament in 1768 approved company's statute. The main goal of the company was to lease existing wool manufactories and organize new ones. Nevertheless, the company has not developed as it was originally planed due to numerous production and financial difficulties that resulted in major losses. In the years 1770-1771 the company was liquidated and the final decision to close was approved by the King on 23rd of April 1772.
