Very rare variety with 69 pearls.
The issue is struck with the stamps of the Danzig jewellery company Moritz Stumpf & Sohn, with a characteristic inner rim just before the pearls.
Coin illustrated in the German magazine Munzen & Sammeln with the following title "Rare Danzig variety" and with a description "A rare variety of the Danzig 10-pfennig coin from 1920 has appeared on the market, one that is not listed in German catalogs and is therefore a real curiosity. It differs in a small detail in the legend, and its collector’s value is therefore distinct from the standard issues.
The specimen shown from 1920 is catalogued under number 5044, but the catalogs lack a description of this variety. The value of this coin should be somewhat higher than that of the normal 10-pfennig pieces, especially since the differences are clearly visible."
This is the variety with the highest known number of pearls among the zinc ten-fennel varieties.
