Rare and very interesting variety with the uncial letters M (m) in the obverse legend. In the latest study of the large crown kwartnik of Casimir III the Great by Marek Poznański, this type of kwartnik were classified as type VII, which are characterized by the fact that the ruler's head and scepter enter the rim. The author of the latest attempt at the typology of these coins noted coins with both the capital M and the uncial M in the word MONETA at the beginning of the obverse legend.
