A very rare issue, struck for the members of the Masonic lodge established by French officers and officials stationed in Madrid. The French Masonic lodge in Madrid was active only for a few years, between 1807 and 1813.
Labouret, in his study, lists only a few examples struck in copper and gold, without recording any emission in silver. The present medal is practically absent from the auction market.
