Rare Russian medal, established by Empress Catherine II for the decoration of Praga in Warsaw in 1794.
In the period from 24.10.1794 to 4.11.1794, the Russian army, under the command of General Suvorov, captured Praga in Warsaw, distinguishing itself in the process with exceptional brutality. Many residents of Praga were murdered.
