Set of eleven Italian “Caravelle” silver coins designed by Pietro Giampaoli (obverse bust of Italia Turrita) and Guido Veroi (reverse with three caravels), this issue is hailed as one of Italy’s finest post-war coins. The rim carries 19 regional coats of arms, and it became the last circulating silver coin of the Italian Republic.
