Set of ten German silver coins ― XX Summer Olympic Games, Munich 1972. These were the Federal Republic’s first 10-DM commemoratives; every piece carries the edge motto CITIUS · ALTIUS · FORTIUS. The series features five modernist reverse designs: a sun-compass spiral, interlocking chains, a pair of athletes, an aerial stadium plan, and the Olympic flame. The initial issues read IN DEUTSCHLAND, but after an objection from the GDR the final release was struck with IN MÜNCHEN
