On the upper arm there is an inscription 1/M, indicating that this is a number above one million (1,009,947)
The cross with this number was awarded to Private Syrtsev Siemion, Volhynian Regiment, Signal Unit. He was seriously wounded in the battle of July 15-18, 1916 in the river basin. He returned to service and took part in hostilities until the day they ended.
