Early issue of ducats from the province of Utrecht, rarer than other periods of their minting.
At the end of the obverse legend, the inscription TRA, an abbreviation of the Latin name of Utrecht (Traiectum). Due to the similar notation TRAN (Transissulania) for the province of Overijssel, ducats from Utrecht and Overijssel are often confused.
