A very rare 3 groschen of the Duchy of Custrin, struck in 1545 under John of Brandenburg-Küstrin. Variety with a cross placed only to the right of the denomination mark.
The 1545 issue is significantly rarer than the 1544 emission and represents the second and final type of triple groschen in the history of the Duchy. A coin of great numismatic importance, absent even from the famous Tadeusz Iger collection of trojaks.
An issue virtually unseen on the market – only two recorded appearances in Polish auction archives.
An exceptional opportunity to acquire one of the greatest rarities among coins of John of Brandenburg-Küstrin. A chance unlikely to return for many years!
