Very rare and interesting forgery from the era of the Danzig 1/4 thaler of Sigismund III Vasa from 1614.
Forgeries from the period are much rarer than authentic examples. The most common forgeries are from the late 1620s. Finding a forgery of an early orte is a real rarity and a real challenge for a collector.
