500 francs banknote from 1927, issued by the Banque de l’Indochine in Djibouti. The obverse depicts an allegorical female figure holding a branch, with a harbor full of sailing ships and steamers in the background. The reverse features an exotic landscape with palm trees, the sea, and a portrait of a woman in traditional attire.
Specimen with tiny staple holes. Fully natural, with a very nice and fresh appearance.
A rare note, highly attractive for collectors of colonial and exotic banknote issues.
