Rare medal weighing two thalers, minted on the occasion of the coronation of Augustus as King of Poland on September 15, 1697.

Medal by the famous Dresden medalist, Martin Heinrich Omeis, signed in the cross-section of the arm.

Plenty of mint luster. 


Obverse: bust of the king in laurel wreath, armor and ornamented cloak, right
