Very rare and extremely desirable 1 1/2 THALER posthumous of the last male descendant of the entire Piast dynasty.
Issue minted on the occasion of the death of Georg Wilhelm.
The presented coin was struck with dies by Samuel Koller, exactly the same as the 1 1/4 thaler, and the differences are only in the weight of the disc. 1 1/4 thaler weighs about 33 g, while 1 1/2 thaler weighs about 36 g.
Coin that graced the cover of the 1997 BALDWIN Jubilee Auction catalogue for the 125th anniversary of the company and was purchased there. This means that it has been in the "Green Raven" Collection for almost 30 years.
Ex. Green Raven Collection.
Extremely rare coin, in an extremely attractive state of preservation.
Naturally dark patina, which, combined with mint luster, gives the coin a unique appearance.
1 1/2 THALER missing from many advanced collections of Silesian coinage, which is one of the most interesting coins in the field of Silesian coinage at our 15th Premium Auction.
