Set of three Lodz Ghetto medals in original Mint of Poland box.
The medals were designed and minted by the former president of the Lodz branch of PTN, Orest Paszkowycz.
The medals bear his mark in addition to the mint mark.
There were 5 varieties of such medals in the set, including 4 official ones given in Lodz Numismatic and one unofficial one.
The official ones are:
- bronze, mintage of 200 pieces
- silver-plated bronze, mintage of 25 pieces
- gilded bronze, mintage of 20 pieces
- sterling silver, mintage of 20 pieces
The fifth medal, on the other hand, was of aluminum in a mintage of 20 pieces, but its existence was never officially written about.
