Very rare denomination from the reign of Augustus III, struck at the Dresden mint in 1743.
The coin bears no value mark and is unusual compared to the regular fractional taler system (1/12, 1/6, 1/3), which suggests a trial or special issue.
Variety with initials of FWôF Friedrich Wilhelm ô Feral, the mintmaster in Dresden in 1734-1763, under thew initials there is a hook.
A piece scarcely recorded on the market and underestimated in standard references.
