Extremely rare and extremely impressive Danzig 6 groschen of the August III of Poland.
It is worth noting that the pieces available on the auction market so far weighed in the range of 3-4 g and in the case of the presented 6 groschen the weight is over 6 g. This allows us to believe that it may be one of the first struck because two ducats weight were struck only gold issues. Probably a single number of coins or possibly only one weighing over 6 g was minted and then their weight was immediately adjusted to their appropriate size.
