Rare medal of Albert Casimir of Saxony-Teschen (1766), son of Augustus III of Poland and Maria Josepha of Austria – a prominent figure of the Wettin dynasty. He styled himself King of Poland and Lithuania, held the title of Duke of Teschen, and served as Governor of the Austrian Netherlands.
Issued in 1766, undated on the dies, during the period of particular influence of the Wettin family in Central Europe.
Example removed from a mount, covered with noble dark patina, with preserved fragments of original mint luster in the fields. Attractive appearance.
