The International Shipbuilding and Engineering Company Limited - Gdansk Shipyard - was established in 1922 on the basis of the former Imperial Shipyard. In addition to shipbuilding, the company was also involved in the production of engines and rolling stock.
A 6% loan for the sum of £300,000 was issued in several tranches between 1924 and 1932. The object of the auction is a £100 document with the number 806 being part of this loan for the sum of £45,000 (450 debentures of £100 each, numbers 581 to 1030) - 6% interest was payable quarterly (unlike for the debentures of £1,000 each of this loan, numbers 1 to 100, where interest was payable semiannually).
