A rare organizational badge of the Polish Foresters' Association.
The origins of the Polish Foresters' Union date back to the period when Poland regained its independence. The process of creating a nationwide professional organization for foresters began in 1918, and in subsequent years led to the unification of forestry communities previously operating in the various partitions. The Galician community had particularly strong organizational traditions, centered, among others, around the Galician Forestry Society, established in Lviv in 1882.
The presented badge is an interesting souvenir of the Association's activities during the Second Polish Republic.
Two-piece badge, enamel damage in the upper part.
The cap is signed "W. Buszek / Lwów".
Badge from the Collection of Lech Kokociński , Honorary President of the Polish Numismatic Society.
